HKS Construction Ltd. is a Calgary-based roofing and exterior renovation company founded by Klodian Hoxha. Since incorporating in Alberta in January 2018, we’ve built our reputation one roof at a time – showing up on time, doing the work right, and standing behind every project with our name and our word. Meet Klodian Hoxha – Owner, Estimator & Lead Roofer
Klodian isn’t the kind of owner who sits in an office. He’s on every job site, on every roof, and personally involved in every estimate. When you call HKS Construction, you talk to the person who actually does the work – and that’s by design.
Before founding HKS Construction, Klodian spent years in the trades since 2010, earning hands-on certifications in fall protection, elevated work platforms, first aid, and boom lift operation. That field experience is why he started his own company in January 2018 – he saw too many Calgary homeowners getting generic work from crews that didn’t understand how Alberta weather actually affects a roof.
Klodian personally inspects every project, oversees material selection, and ensures every installation meets the standards he’d want on his own home.

Residential Roofing – Complete roof replacements, emergency leak repairs, hail damage restoration, and preventive maintenance. We install asphalt shingles (CertainTeed, Malarkey, IKO, GAF), metal roofing (DECRA stone-coated steel, standing seam), cedar shakes, rubber roofing, and flat roof systems.
Commercial Roofing – TPO, EPDM, SBS modified bitumen, and built-up roof systems for commercial properties. One of our proudest projects is the Auburn Bay Residents Association, where we installed a combined commercial flat and shingle roof system with integrated parapet wall flashing.
Exterior Renovations – James Hardie fiber cement siding, vinyl siding, stucco systems, soffit and fascia, eavestrough, and exterior painting. We handle complete exterior overhauls that protect Calgary homes against chinook winds, hail, and freeze-thaw cycles.
Skylight Installation & Repair – VELUX and Columbia skylight installations, replacements, and leak repairs.

$2,000,000 Commercial General Liability Insurance
We carry a $2,000,000 per-occurrence Commercial General Liability policy through Intact Insurance Company (Policy #50123QL7C), brokered by Acera Insurance Services Ltd. in Calgary. This policy covers bodily injury, property damage, products and completed operations, personal and advertising injury, non-owned auto liability, and tenant’s legal liability. Our current policy period runs through October 2026.
Active WCB Coverage
Every HKS Construction worker is covered under our Workers’ Compensation Board – Alberta account (#9600951). Our account is current and in good standing, which means you’re never liable if something happens on your property. We can provide a WCB clearance letter for any project upon request.
Safety-Trained Crew
Our team members hold certifications including Fall Protection, Elevated Work Platform operation, Standard First Aid with CPR C & AED, and Self-Propelled Elevated Work Platform operation. We maintain current first aid certification on every active job site.
Featured Project – Auburn Bay Residents Association
One of our proudest accomplishments is the Auburn Bay Residents Association commercial roof. This project required a combined flat membrane and asphalt shingle system with integrated parapet wall flashing – a complex installation that demands precision where two different roofing systems meet.

Every HKS Construction project follows the same straightforward process:
1. You call or message. Klodian responds personally. No call centres, no sales teams. You speak directly with the owner who will be on your roof.
2. On-site inspection within 24 hours. Klodian visits your property, inspects the roof or exterior, takes measurements and photos, and discusses your options face-to-face. For roofing projects, this includes a full attic inspection and ventilation assessment.
3. Transparent quote within 24 hours of inspection. You receive a detailed, itemized estimate – not a ballpark number. We break down materials, labour, disposal, and any extras so you know exactly where every dollar goes.
4. Materials sourced from Calgary suppliers. We order from local warehouses – Convoy Supply, ABC Supply, Roofmart, and Spaar Marathon Roofing Supplies – which means faster start times and no waiting on out-of-province shipments.
5. Installation by our own crew. HKS doesn’t subcontract your roof to strangers. Our full-time team handles every phase – tear-off, decking inspection, underlayment, installation, flashing, and cleanup.
6. Final walkthrough and warranty handoff. Klodian personally walks the completed project with you, answers every question, and provides your manufacturer warranty documentation along with our workmanship guarantee.
